Blackguards Revealed

I've been been waiting for Ragnarok Publications to make it official, and they just did, so now I can tell you all about this. I've got a new Royce and Hadrian short story coming out in this amazing anthology.  It's called Blackguards and a Kickstarter will be launching for it soon. The exciting things about anthologies is sitting side by side with some amazing authors...which is both terrifying and exhilarating. While I like to think I'm always bringing my "A" game, knowing you'll be read with others ups the ante a bit.

The really cool thing about this anthology is that it is filled with thieves, assassins and all manner of rogues. Here is a list of the authors providing stories:
  • Carol Berg, The Sanctuary Duet
  • Richard Lee Byers, Balathex, The Whispering City
  • David Dalglish, Shadowdance
  • James Enge, Morlock Ambrosius
  • John Gwynne, The Faithful Fallen
  • Lian Hearne, Tales of the Otori
  • Snorri Kristjansson, The Valhalla Saga
  • Joseph R. Lallo, The Book of Deacon
  • Mark Lawrence, The Broken Empire, The Red Queen's War
  • Tim Marquitz, Demon Squad, The Blood War Trilogy
  • Peter Orullian, The Vault of Heaven
  • Cat Rambo, Serendib
  • Laura Resnick, The Silerian Trilogy
  • Mark Smylie, Sword & Barrow
  • Kenny Soward, Gnome Saga
  • Shawn Speakman, Unfettered, The Dark Thorn
  • Jon Sprunk, The Book of the Black Earth
  • Anton Strout, The Spellmason Chronicles
  • Michael J. Sullivan , Riyria Revelations & Riyria Chronicles
  • Django Wexler, The Shadow Campaigns
There are also a few "bonus authors" who have stories at the ready if the Kickstarter earns to a certain level. This has been a really fun project and I can't wait to tell you more about it. Stay tuned for Kickstarter updates and a cover reveal in the not too distant future.

  1. Great news! Have you considered putting all of your short stories in a single volume at some point? I always buy these but generally only read your story - I know I should try some of the others, but haven't yet. Anyway, another one of my favorite authors has short stories in 5 or 6 different anthologies like this and is now putting all of those, along with 2 or 3 new short stories, in a new book. I like the idea of having them in one place. :)
